Sony appears to be preparing to announce the next camera in their digital cinema line, the ILME-FX50. According to recent leaks and insider reports, this new Super 35mm cinema camera will share a similar form factor to the highly popular ILME-FX6 while adding several key upgrades for video professionals.
The Sony a7S III camera has been on the market for nearly four years since its release in 2020. With the usual upgrade cycle being around three to four years for Sony’s Alpha line, a successor model – potentially named the a7S IV – is due for release soon. However, concrete details from reliable sources about an a7S IV model have yet to emerge.
According to latest rumors from SAR, after Sony announced the Sony a9 III, next Sony camera will neither be the a7S IV nor the a1 II, instead it will be a video focused model, so which one do you thinks ? The Sony a9 III (Amazon/B&H Photo Video/Adorama) is a highly anticipated camera set to release in the spring, featuring a brand new sensor with a global shutter. The sensor enables high-speed shooting, capable of capturing up to 120 frames per second with full autofocus and 14-bit raw capabilities. The camera boasts a new body design characterized by rounded corners and beveling, departed from the classic boxy shape. It also includes top custom buttons and useful ports such as full HDMI, PC sync, ethernet connection, USB-C, and headphone/microphone jacks. The electronic viewfinder (EVF) has a high resolution of 9.44 million dots, without dropping resolution at higher refresh rates.
