BCN analyzed the full frame mirrorless camera share in Japan in April, from the result we can see the Sony a7 III has 40% + full frame mirrorless market share and still rising. While market share of recently released Canon’s EOS RP is falling very fast. Canon didn’t not successfully use low-cost EOS RP to gain share.
The Sony’s full frame mirrorless cameras are more and more popular today. The a7 III is one of the best selling full frame mirrorless cameras since it is released in early 2018. Instead of buying new models at a high price, a lot of photographers now looking for used Sony full frame mirrorless cameras for the much cheaper price, sometimes you can get used models up to 50% off than new models.

Russian website photar.ru has made a exclusive interview with Sony Managers. They told us that Sony a7S III is still not ready due to some tech reasons, and we can also expect the Sony a6500 successor (a7000) to be announced in near future.
We already posted that upcoming Sony a9 II will be announced in 2019. Now according to a reliable source from SAR, they also confirmed that Sony a9II will be officially announced in September 2019 with revolution features. Sony want to release something for the upcoming Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

As rumored before, Sony released firmware version 3.0 for its a7R III (Amazon/Adorama/B&H Photo Video) and a7 III (Amazon/B&H Photo/Adorama) full-frame mirrorless cameras, bringing enhanced real-time Eye AF functionality as well as an Eye AF mode designed specifically for animals. According to latest rumors, Sony will officially released the firmware version 3.0 for a7R III (Amazon/Adorama/B&H Photo Video) and a7 III (Amazon/B&H Photo/Adorama) on April 11. The new firmware version 3.0 will include the Real-time Eye AF in AF-C mode. Real-Time Eye AF for animals will be included. The a7R III and the a7 III will also receive interval recording functionality (like the new a6400).
