According to latest rumors, the upcoming Sony a7C II will be officially announced and released in 2023. The Sony a7C II will be a compact version of recently released Sony a7 IV, shares the same image sensor and IBIS. The EVF will be same as original a7C.

We can expect A7C II next year. Sony already reserved some components from A7IV for “another camera” including for example sensor and IBIS. Also they scheduled increased production ONLY for EVF from A7C mk1 for this year. So we are expecting A7C II same specs as A7IV, redesigned shell but same EVF like mk1.
Both Sony a7C II and a9 III are expected to be announced in 2023. Stay tuned.
