When combined with the FX9, the the lens powers the precise auto focus, even with speedy subjects and a shallow depth of field. The lens’s two XA (Extreme Aspherical) elements, three aspherical lenses, and an 11-blade circular aperture enable the gorgeous bokeh, reduce the field of curvature, as well as color distortion. On top of that, Sony’s notable Nano AR coating minimizes the flare and ghosting.

Three separate rings — for focus, zoom, and iris — can all be set while shooting, and a linear response manual focus feature and focus ring make repeated captures even easier.

The Sony FE C 16-35mm T3.1 G wide angle zoom cinema lens will be available in the spring of 2020. Stay tuned for more information.
