Sony Alpha Mirrorless Cameras, Compact Cameras & Lenses Rumors
dpreview has interviewed Sony Kenji Tanaka, VP and Senior General Manager at CP+ 2019. Kenji Tanaka said that it is easy to add 4K/60p, 10-bit 4:2:2 to Sony a7S III, but he want to create something that goes beyond the expectations of our customers. And he also said that a7S like APS-C mirrorless camera is possible.

At CP+ 2019, French website Phototrend has interviewed with Tamron executives confirmed that they will make the telephoto zoom FE lens next. Tamron will also consider prime FE lenses for Sony full frame mirrorless cameras in near future.
According to latest interview with Sigma CEO at CP+ 2019 by LensTip, Sigma CEO confirmed that first lens designed exclusively for Sony full frame mirrorless cameras is coming this year. Why wait so long ? According to Sigma CEO, it takes about two years to develop one lens. So the question is, which Sigma FE lens will coming first ?
Here is another interview with Sony manager Kenji Tanaka, taking about the Sony’s plans in 2019 and Sony’s mirrorless competitors. According to the interview, Sony manager said they can make f/1.0 prime lenses, but it would not make business sense, instead, they are more likely to make f/1.2 prime lenses. And Sony manager also confirmed they will make a new super telephoto prime lenses similar to Sony FE 400mm f/2.8 GM lens(B&H,Adorama, Amazon,Focus Camera).

According to latest interview with Sony manager Mr. Tanaka at Photokina 2018 by Pronews.jp, Sony will soon announce new APS-C mirrorless cameras next. Mr. Tanaka said releases of full frame mirrorless cameras goal is already achieved, now it is time for APS-C mirrorless cameras. According to previous rumors, first upcoming APS-C mirrorless camera could be a high-end a7 style APC-C camera, rumored name could be a7000/a6800/a6700.
