Where is Sony a7S III ? Many people are waiting for this camera for a long time. At Photokina 2018, Cinema5D has just interviewed with Sony Senior Manager Yutaka Iwatsuki, talking about the release date of Sony a7S III and other future products.
Panasonic will soon announce two new Full Frame Mirrorless Cameras on September 25th ahead of Photokina 2018. According to rumors, Panasonic Full Frame Mirrorless Cameras will have IBIS and 4K@60p. This will the serious competitor for upcoming Sony a7S III. What Sony a7S III need to fight back is the 4K@60p, and other great video features. Previous rumors also said a7S III will have 4K@60p and HDR Video. According to latest rumors, a7S III is rumored to be announced in October, 2018, stay tuned for more info.
As Photokina 2018 is coming soon, Sony also launched a web page for this event on September 26 to September 29. Tomorrow, Sony will probably announce two new FE lenses: FE 24mm f/1.4 GM Lens and FE 135mm f/1.8 GM Lens. And after Photokina 2018, Sony will announce a7S III or a6700/a6800/a7000 before PhotoPlus EXPO in late October, 2018.
As we told you before, Sony is going to not announce anything for the upcoming Photokina. But to reaction with just announced Canon EOS R and Nikon Z6/Z7, Sony has just changed their mind and decided to make a new E-mount mirrorless camera announcement before Photokina 2018 on September 26.
For the upcoming Photokina 2018 in late September, Canon, Nikon, Panasonic, Fujifilm, Zeiss will have their new products at the show. While Sony will not announce any new cameras ahead of Photokina. The rumored Sony a7S III, a7000/a6700 will not announced before Photokina.

The Sony a7S III is rumored to be announced in the second half of this year. At the earliest we may see a7S III around Photokina 2018 in September. Sony currently has a new camera code WW 213188 registered, which means that a7S III could be announced in next two or three months.

Sony has just announced a new OLED Microdisplay called the ECX339A which features a resolution of 1600 x 1200 resolution, the highest in class for a 0.5-type.
